Description

Introducing Build Share open alpha. Create building prefabs and import them as blueprints

In the open alpha uploading is not yet supported. For the full release a complete website is planned to browse the buildings online. Uploading and downloading buildings from other people will be possible from in-game.
The current version is available as an open alpha to test the general blueprint creation. You can still share your buildings by sharing the files in the Sons Of The Forest/Mods/BuildShare/LocalBuildings folder.

The default key to bring up the panel is Page Up, you can change it in the in-game settings (Mods -> BuildShare -> Toggle Key).
You can cancel any action (building selection or placing) with the Escape key.

Placing a building has two modes (which you can switch between with the right mouse button).

Corner Mode: Align the building with with the terrain but trying to keep each lower corner of the building above the ground. Change the height offset with scroll.

Free Mode: Freely place the building anywhere. Change the distance with scroll.

    why doesnt this mod save placed sticks or rocks. i was trying to copy and paste this tedious defensive wall i made https//www.youtube.com/watch?vJsvCN24o6Io but the only thing that carry over are the logs and half logs basically?

    cannot get this to work. i can open it, but doesn't save or exit after that. I've got to close the game out for it to go away.

How to install this mod

These steps install BuildShare by hand, without a manager.

RedManager installs and updates mods and their dependencies for you. Get RedManager

This mod needs RedLoader, not BepInEx. BepInEx mods and guides don’t apply to Sons of the Forest.

  1. Install RedLoader

    RedLoader is the mod loader for Sons of the Forest. You only need to install it once.

  2. Download BuildShare v1.0.10

    Download v1.0.10

  3. Extract the ZIP into the Mods folder

    On your PC, extract it into the game’s Mods folder:

    Steam/steamapps/common/Sons Of The Forest/Mods

    Keep the folder structure of the ZIP. Don’t put the ZIP itself in the folder.

  4. Launch the game

    RedLoader loads the mod on start. Press F1 in the main menu to see the list of mods.
