Overview

Tattoo

Lets you change the textures of NPCs skins and clothes.

Usage

Go into the Sons Of The Forest\Mods\Tattoo\Textures folder, copy a texture you want to overwrite and append a custom name to the original name (the custom name will show in the options) then edit it to your liking. So to overwrite "RobbyHead.png", copy it and name it something like "RobbyHeadCustom.png" (will show as "Custom" in the settings). Don't just overwrite the original texture, create a copy. You can create as many copies as you like of a texture.

If you make changes to a texture or create a new one you can reload them in the game by either using the "Reload" button in the mod list or the reloadtattoo console command.

How do I install Tattoo?
Install RedLoader (RedManager can do it for you), download Tattoo 1.0.3 from this page and put it in the _RedLoader/Mods folder inside your game directory. Launch the game and press F1 to confirm it loaded.

How to install this mod

Five minutes, no manager required. These steps are for Tattoo.

This mod needs RedLoader, not BepInEx. BepInEx mods and guides don’t apply to Sons of the Forest.

  1. Install RedLoader

    RedLoader is the mod loader of Sons of the Forest. Install it once and every mod works.

  2. Download Tattoo v1.0.3

    Download v1.0.3

  3. Extract the ZIP into the Mods folder

    On your PC, extract it into the game’s Mods folder:

    Steam/steamapps/common/Sons Of The Forest/Mods

    Keep the folder structure of the ZIP. Don’t put the ZIP itself in the folder.

  4. Launch the game

    RedLoader loads the mod on start. Press F1 in the main menu to see the list of mods.
